RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS

Building or renovating a home is one of the biggest investments you’ll make. The materials you choose will define how your home looks, how it performs and how it holds its value for decades to come.

Corobrik’s clay face bricks and pavers are trusted on residential projects across South Africa: from contemporary homes and estate developments to boundary walls, driveways and outdoor entertainment areas. Every product is manufactured to SANS 227 standards, requires zero maintenance and is built to last a lifetime.

HOME FACADES, BOUNDARY & FEATURE WALLS

Corobrik’s standard face brick range includes over 50 products in warm earth tones, cool greys and neutral shades, giving you the widest selection available from any single manufacturer. For a contemporary look, the Slimline range offers a sleek, elongated profile that’s become a favourite with architects. And for screening, privacy walls and decorative feature walls, the Breezeblock adds a distinctive perforated pattern that plays with light and shadow.

Not sure where to start? Here are some of our most popular face bricks for residential projects, grouped by colour tone.

DRIVEWAYS, PATIOS & GARDEN PATHS

A clay paver driveway or patio instantly lifts the look and value of a property. Unlike concrete or tar, clay pavers never fade. The colour is fired into the brick at over 1 000°C, so it stays true for the life of the installation. Clay pavers are also extremely durable: they resist cracking, don’t stain easily and can be individually replaced if damaged.

Corobrik offers 35 clay paver products in a range of shapes and colours. The right choice depends on your application.

WHY CHOOSE CLAY FACE BRICK?

There are ten compelling reasons to build your home with clay face brick.
Here are the four that matter most to homeowners.

Zero Maintenance

Face brick never needs painting, coating, sealing or repointing under normal conditions. Over the 50+ year life of a home, this represents a significant saving compared to plastered-and-painted walls that need recoating every 5–10 years.

Energy Efficiency

Clay brick walls absorb heat during the day and release it slowly at night, creating a natural temperature buffer that keeps your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter. This reduces your reliance on air conditioning and heating, lowering energy bills.

Fire Resistance

Clay face bricks are produced at temperatures between 800°C and 1 000°C. They cannot burn and do not add to the fire load of a building, unlike combustible materials such as timber cladding.

Aesthetic Appeal

The colour of clay face brick does not fade. In fact, it deepens and improves over time. Century-old clay brick buildings across South Africa and the world are testament to the material’s durability and enduring appeal.
